Re: 2014 Wisconsin Regional

Looking forward to the event tomorrow. Knowing how many teams are returning from CIL and the level of play at that event despite only being in week 1, I'm excited for what Wisconsin will be like this year. Glad to see the event will be available for all in HD.

Be sure to stop by team 167's pit to say hi and pick up a toothbrush!

T-Minus 5 hours until we leave for the competition!

We will be really busy until our robot is built.

Very excited to be there with 3081. I won't be there until later today since I have class at the community college this morning, but I'll be there the rest of the weekend. It'll be my first time being in Milwaukee at all, and I can't wait to see how the regional plays out.

If any team isn't planning on using their scouting wrist bands, 1732 will trade your bands for our scouting data on Friday night. If interested, please PM me, find us in scouting section or ask for Wes in the pits. Thanks!

EDIT: thanks to 48, 171, 1714 and 4212 for working with us.

For those of you that knew of the "race" between MARS/WARS 4143 and Trident Robotics 4296 of first to a practice match the winner was... neither of us... I am not sure on 4143, but 4296 missed their last practice match by about 10 minutes...

Good luck in the matches that we all do participate in.

The balls here at Wisconsin are a lot harder than they were in Duluth. We had to modify the robot a bit to get the intake to work. No big deal but I just wish it could be more consistent.

I have to say, +1 for the HD webcast. I am really enjoying the quality! :D

So what's the deal with parking for the event? Did anyone actually pay over $20 on Thursday? I would like to go but don't want to pay a ridiculous amount to park.

Been having stream issues on and off today for Wisconsin. Haven't got to see any 111 or 2826 matches. Any news on what problems they might have been seeing?

I've been having issues with the Wisconsin stream as well.

I tried Chrome, Firefox, and IE with and without HD and it still has issues.

I tried it from a different location with different internet access with all three browsers with and without HD and still has issues.

Bummer.

I'm a volunteer there and paid $5 yesterday and $15 today (for the sake of convenience; I'm in the lot right across the street from the venue).

There's a lot that's close to the Milwaukee Public Market on Clybourn street (about a 15 minute walk away from the venue) that's $5 all day if you're in by 9 am; I used that one yesterday.

What do you guys think of this regional?! And what team are you cheering for if you (if you aren't in this regional?)

Do my eyes deceive me or am I seeing Wildstang near the bottom of the standings winless through seven matches? What's the story?

I really don't want to be the one saying the bad things about Wildstang but they are having problems with their shooter and their pick up is okish.

So they have improvements to make before Midwest from the sounds of it.
