Perfect Cycle Videos

After watching FRCTOP25 last night I realized that the perfect cycle is rarer than I thought it would be. If your team was able to put up a perfect cycle(s) could you share the link and the match number?

Here is a classic implementation of LookingForward's 1-1-1 strategy:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f5Lk-...oERA_3wJ-#t=55

This utilized a trusser, a catcher, and a shooter. (UNH Q7)

Here is an implementation of a 1-2-0 strategy:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UCk2K...oERA_3wJ-#t=66

This utilized a passer, a trusser, and a catcher/shooter hybrid. (UNH Q68)

Does anyone have video from 987's perfect cycle that was referenced on the show last night?

Re: Perfect Cycle Videos

During our QF match, we ran a 51-point cycle but this isn't exactly perfect...can't remember if they were any 60-point cycles at Arkansas.

I only remember being apart of one, and that was during a practice match, we did a few catches but I don't have any film of any others. I'll try to find the film.

Here is a link to a video of our robot (1024, the big yellow one) at Crossroads last weekend.

The cycle starts at 1:56 and ends at 2:11.

Very cool to see Bob's robot working well!

The cycles in this match were perfect as far as I'm concerned. 51pts, not 60pts, but it shows how fast a good low-goal scorer can makes those assist points count, even under defense in the second cycle. It also shows how important a fast truss shot is... the majority of our time is spent waiting for the truss-shooting robot to actually fire.

In our second final match, we were able to pull off two perfect cycles in a row thanks to our amazing partners 4161 and 399 (who made the two catches). Here's a link to the video:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dhY_...e_gdata_player

#2 alliance captain #4967 (that one team) and #2054 tech vikes and #5248 Saxons completed a perfect cycle a few times in eliminations matches at Gull Lake District. Great team work by all 3 teams!! I don't have any videos, but would love to see them if any one has it to post:)

I am a member of That ONE Team, I can probably find a video of one of our matches. I'll post a link to it, if I can find one, as soon as I can.

In the final practice match at GKC today 118-1986-4522 posted 6 perfect cycles of 50 pts. each plus 70 in auto for a score of 370 with no fouls. I certainly hope there is video of it somewhere.

It happens about 1:30 in the video
The video isn't that great due to it being taken on a camera phone but we had completed it a couple of times throughout eliminations

our team was part of a perfect cycle during the quarter finals of the WPI district event involved three assist truss catch and top goal take a look:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TCWgkha78mI&app=desktop

happened during the first cycle of the game

Re: Perfect Cycle Videos

There was a perfect cycle in this match, with 668 throwing to 5134 who caught it over the truss. 5134 gave the ball to 114, who then shot it into the high goal.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=THMerdGMBxQ

(That 2 ball truss collision at the end was pretty epic as well.)

Greater Kansas City Regional Qual. Match #49, 118-1986-3928 ran 4 perfect truss-to-human cycles (minus one inbound bobble) of 50 pts. each, plus a final 30 pt. cycle, skipping the midfield possession to beat the final buzzer. Along with the 70 in auto: 70+(4x50)+30=300, no fouls.

The cycle starts around 1:08.

Thanks for sharing this Jeff. Definitely some of the sickest and most efficient cycles put up so far in the game. When I referred to perfect, I was going off what I think FRCTOP25 was referencing, meaning no points were left on the field. The perfect auto would be 75 points, and the perfect cycle would be 60 points.

However, I would say that your cycles were perfectly executed (omitting the one hiccup you pointed out :) )

Ah, gotcha, not perfect then. Just OK.

In this match (Qual 15) from the Greater Kansas City Regional, 1763 (catcher) 1810 (shooter) and 2346 (inbounder) complete 2 perfect cycles, and were only a second away from completing a third at the buzzer.

There was a flawless 60 point cycle by 67, 469 and 4362 in Q-71 at the Howell district event. joelg236 found the video:
