How does the Nylon 618 compared to the nylon used in AndyMark Toughboxes from the kit?

Our team is at competition right now and our venue does not have the best of wi-fi, so I'll try to get pictures up tonight after eliminations.

As far as how the nylon compares to toughbox nylon, I'm not really sure, Our team hasn't used toughboxs in a while but andymark uses solid sheets and injection moulded plastic. No generic 3D printed part can be as strong as solid plastic simply because of how it's made, so I don't think I can make an accurate comparison.

However, our team has yet to break a nylon part and if you've ever seen 801's or 1592's robot this year, we have a large (45lb+) gathering and shooting assembly this year which pivots back and forth on our frame with pneumatics. We have a pinch point right under the pivot where bottom part of our gatherer slams into the supporting bar of our frame and right there we put a pair of small 3D printed nylon bumpers. These (approximately 1/2" thick) bumpers are taking 150+ pounds of force each time our arm slams down and we have yet to even damage the nylon bumpers, during competition or on our practice robot.

I'll try to get some pictures of our parts today but in the meantime I can show you our release video with 1592.

Another thing to note is that nylon still has layer separation issues, like PLA, so you have to be cautious which way you print your parts. We print all our parts with the layers running in parallel with largest force vector we expect them to experience, to minimize layer separation.

Here are a few pictures I took on Saturday of our Nylon Parts.

The First two are the impact bumpers for our gatherer assembly.
The one that looks like a batman symbol is a support and mounting brace for the back of the Cim motors on our VexPro 3 Cim Dogshifter.
The Last ones are just showing off the squishyness of a nylon ring printed at 245°C.

All of our parts are printed on Low quality for time and durability reasons, but we've tested nylon on Fine and it works without too much fuss.
