Interpreting Team Standings Data
Hello! I'm following the New York Tech Valley Regional right now and I don't quite seem to understand what all the data given on the standings page means (http://www2.usfirst.org/2014comp/eve.../rankings.html). Could someone please clarify this for me? Thanks!

Re: Interpreting Team Standings Data
Rank: Team standing in the competition. Their seeding.
Team: Team number. For example 1126 is SparX. QS: Qualifying score. First sort order for rank. 2 pts for win, 1 for tie (in qualifying matches). Assist: Total points from assists accumulated by a team's alliances for the entire regional. Alliance totals, not individual teams. 2nd sort for rank. Auto: Total points from autonomous by a team's alliances over the regional. 3rd sort for rank. T&C: Truss & Catch points by a team's alliances over the regional. 4th sort. Teleop: Total teleoperated points by a team's alliances over the regional. 5th sort. Record: Qualifying matches Wins-Losses-Ties. Used to calculate QS. DQ: Qualifying matches a team was disqualified from. Played: Total number of qualifying matches a team has played so far. Hope that helps! |

This makes computing relevant statistics much more complicated and error-prone than need be. Note to the person(s) who designed this report, if you are reading this: Please do not do this next year. Separate out all scoring categories. |
