Our Dean's List candidates were interviewed at Groton. Do they get another interview at Hartford?

Re: (NE First) Hartford District Event

I don't think they do, you only get one interview for deans list it can just be at any event you wish or by phone.

Looks like these should be some really intense elimination matches! Best of luck to all the teams! I'll be watching on the nice NEFIRST webcast... :-)

So ends the inaugural Hartford District Competition, and it was a big one! The way all the teams competed, it's like the CT Regional spirit has not left at all. Congrats to 177, 558, and 5129 for becoming the first champions of this event. Another round to 2067 for Chairman's as well. The District Championship is almost upon us my fellow NE nuts and bolts (of fury and otherwise), keep cool and I hope to see you there.

On a more personal note, thanks to teams 3464 and 95. Our QF was the only one that needed 3 matches. Finally, I raise my metaphorical glass to my fellow Enforcers on winning their (lucky) 7th  Engineering Inspiration Award.

Great Inaugural District Competition in Hartford.

Congratulations to 558 RoboSquad (again!), 177 Bobcats (again, again!), and especially the rookies 5129, Digital Devils, from Plainville. (whatta story their season be!)

A terrific showing by 230 Gaelhawks, 1124 Uberbots, and 4055 NRG, who has really stepped up their game this year.

Tremendous gratitude to Team 181, and the Hartford Public High School Family for a great CT FIRST reunion and a capstone to our rookie season as a district.

Can't wait to see how these teams perform at the District Championship in Boston in two weeks.

I can't say thank you enough to all of the volunteers who helped to make the inaugural Hartford District Event happen. We had a great mix of veteran and rookie volunteers who learned quickly and worked well together, and most importantly it seemed like volunteers and teams alike were having lots of fun.

The matches I did catch were so exciting to watch - lots of close matches with clean gameplay and good strategies. Congratulations and thank you to everyone!

Just when I thought this season couldn't get any better . . .

What an amazing weekend in Hartford. Lousy weather, great venue, great volunteers, great competitors. We've never ended qualification matches seeded first before, so it was a real milestone for our team.

Thanks to our alliance partners, 177 and rookies 5129. It's always a treat to play with the Bobcats. You guys are a well-oiled machine. And 5129, what an awesome rookie season for you! You did everything that was asked of you, and more. A real asset to our alliance.

4055, 230 and 1124, those finals matches were incredible. Hope to see you in Boston, maybe on the same side of the glass for a change.

And a HUGE shout out to our friends on Apple Pi, 2067, for their Chairman's win!!!

Thanks to everyone who gave their time and effort to make this event successful.

The Hartford event was awesome. Our team had so much fun helping other teams be their best. Thank you to 181 BOP for a great event and for making arrangement to get our arm re-welded before we bagged it up last night.

Thank you to all the teams for playing their best and making us work for our second place finish. Our goal was to help as many teams collect points for Boston. Unfortunately we fell short for 1124, but they were grateful that we picked them. It was their idea to cross brand our alliance with the capes, we figured we should cross brand the helmets as well. Thank you 1124 for showing us another meaning of Alliance partners. Our team came up with a new team name: The "UberGearHawks"

Thank you to our friends at 4055 for picking us again in Hartford. It is a pleasure to work with you guys, what a great alliance. We loved being part of the UberGearHawks. Sorry we didn't manage to pull of a win in the finals but we played hard together and that it what this game is about. Congrats to 558, 177, and 5129 for their win.

I also want to offer a huge congratulations to Apple Pi for their Chairman's win.

I'd like to note that the Bobcats won Hartford this year, and I believe the victory is a direct result of this:

Bring that to CMP, and we'll see them on Einstein again.

Not a fan of generic products, but I like the humor.

Einstein? I brought the 2011 volunteer "Curse T-shirt" to Hartford to edumacate the Bobcat Newbies on the hurdle they must cross.

I attribute it to their mascot. Too bad there's no pic of him.

Team 3525 had a great time at Hartford. Thanks to all the volunteers who made it a success.

For us, it was our 2nd district event and we are traveling to Maine for a 3rd event. Like everyone else, we had no way of knowing what out point situation would be when we registered. We just wanted to get some extra playing time. But now we might be on the bubble with 63 points, so we could actually help ourselves by taking as many points as possible away from other possible bubble teams playing in their 2nd event. I think any team in our situation would do the same.

I giggled every time this flag was waved. Love it!
