North Star Regional should be fun...

I am so proud of my team. This year has tested everyone's meddle - and to watch this, it was all worth it. The 'Rubber-band' analogy definitely worked for us... There is so much credit to go around. The mentors, the squads, the custodians that worked around the late hours of CIS Robotics at Becker High School.

Student Leaders, you have pushed this team (and our robots) to the near point of breaking - but never did any of you give up hope. To get so far with the original design to realize that it wouldn't work to Ryan's gameplay, and then to completely redesign the beast in a short order... I am amazed. Thank you so much to the mentors for aiding the kids in their challenges, failures, and small successes. It goes to show the value in failure

Let's just hope that our shop monkeys' winch and their mechanical systems can hold steady throughout the rough play at North Star! It is amazing to see what students can do with great leadership and drive from their student leaders!

By the way, love the choice in music...

Thanks for the compliments! With regards to "the rubber band analogy" I'm not sure inside jokes work very well on public forums. . .especially considering there are only 3 people on CD who understand the reference :D

There's no guarantee that the original plan won't work. It's a matter of whether or not we really want to push things "near the point of breaking". :yikes:

As for whether or not the winch will hold up. . . Our robot has 99 problems but the winch ain't one.

Bring on North Star! I'm so excited to show what we can do!
