[NE FIRST] Pine Tree District Event

Seriously no thread yet... Come on guys this event is one of the Gem's of New England. :D

April 4th - 5th, held at the Androscoggin Bank Colisée in Lewiston, ME , just as the Pine Tree Regional was last year.

I know I had a blast at PTR, and expect PTD to be just as amazing. Plus with this being the last event before District Championships, the rest of New England will be watching the action to see who will and will not be making it to Boston next week.

All the official details are here: http://pinetreedistrict.org/

It's going to be a great weekend, and I can't wait to see everyone there.

When we saw that NE went to district model we immediately chose Pine Tree as our second event. Had such a good time last year.
We are eagerly awaiting our second district event, PINE TREE! It seems like AGES since week 2 at UNH where we saw a bunch of Maine teams. Can't wait to team up with them again, this year with a much better robot than last year.(argh that pyramid).

What does everybody expect at Pine Tree ,besides lingering snow?
More Defense like at UNH?
More 3 assist Cycles?
More catching?
More delicious hot cheese stuffed pretzel snacks ?

Good luck to all the teams trekking to Maine this weekend. Here's hoping the video stream will bring the charm to the rest of us. I'm still wincing at the failures of archives for both the Groton and Hartford events. Tough to improve driving and/or strategy without game "tapes."

Bill:
Team 1124 uploaded a pretty complete archive of Hartford: http://www.youtube.com/playlist?list...EUcYGSLPIo4BZf
And they have another playlist for Groton (although not as complete)

Team 88 is very excited to make the trip up to Lewiston to hang out with some of our northern friends. I heard last year that the Pine Tree regional's atmosphere was second to none! Hopefully we can help make the even just as thunderous as last year!

Pine Tree was awesome last year. We couldn't make it there this year but perhaps we will next year. It is a cool building with a heap ton of parking and a heap ton of seating. Easy load in and out and IMO the friendliest event. Good luck to everyone going.

Re: [NE FIRST] Pine Tree District Event

So, after several years of being sick of the big board and the official rankings, I've decided to take another stab at it.

Take for instance this year, a team that is 3 - 1 can easily be ahead of a team that is 3 - 0 on the board simply because they have another matches worth of assists. Yes at the end of the day it all balances out, but I feel like the "we're ranked x" is very susceptible to matches played.'

So I sat down and cranked out an app. Sorry ios folks but it's only for android. Also this app is exclusive to Pine Tree.

Average Stats:
Autonomous
Assists
Truss & Catches
Low Goals
High Goals
Total Goals

Each stat also has a meter which represents where that team ranks according to that stat compared to the rest of the teams at Pine Tree. I found this helps to quickly scan though the list of teams.

I hope you all enjoy it!

Can't wait to see you all up there!

Webcast is running pretty well. Looking forward to the results today and tomorrow!

Can someone please politely ask 155 to not wave their big numbers between the field and the camera?

Is anyone else having trouble with the webcast? I can't get it on Blue Alliance anymore. Is there another link?
