Make triplets happen!

Also, any thoughts on rule changes? I can't think of a reason why the IRI possession rules make the game worse especially in the case of unintentional posession of an opponents ball.

Do you know for sure that 801 is bring their practice bot? 1523's practice bot was practically destroyed so i would not expect them to bring a twin, not to mention it behaved completely differently.

I was referring to if we know that 801's 2nd robot is their practice bot.

801/1592 built a 3rd practice robot. Unless after Champs, they built a 4th robot, 801's "2nd bot" is the original practice bot.

To clarify, both 801 and 1592 built a practice robot, so 4 total robots were built.
I don't know the status of the practice bots or if they are going to be entering. I wouldn't expect both practice bots to be in working order for the event - though I'm never going to bet against a FIRST team surprising me.

In short: 2 yes; 3 probably, 4 unlikely

Does anyone know if the Pre-Prowl Powwow is happening for 2014? The event website says to check back later, but it is getting closer and closer and I wanted to check. :ahh:

So with 26 teams and the 6 second robots are we thinking of having 4 team alliances for Panther Prowl, also are the IRI rule changes going to be in effect?

Nope. I sent out an email a while ago asking if they would be using IRI rules and was told regular season rules will be used.

That's a little disappointing to hear.

Edit: How many elimination alliances will be running?

Any reason as to why? I understand things like keeping zones and not adding an extra auto ball but why not copy some of the iri rules like:

7. G12 will be modified so that an immediately rectified possession of the opposing alliance ball (from a truss shot, human play or field crew action) will not be penalized.

As a driver I found fouls like this G12 annoying and unpreventable. Also, the removal of G21 made pass back to human player assists much less risky.

Hurt my head a little thinking about this; what did you guys do when there weren't enough teams to support it?
