C-Rio/roboRio Digital Input Current

What's the minimum current necessary to trip a digital input in both the C-Rio and the roboRio? I'm interested in an encoder like application, where very small amounts of current trip the digital inputs on the DSC/roboRio very quickly.

For the side car you have to sink the 5V supplied through a 10K pull up resistor. So on the order of .5 mA? I don't know about the RoboRio, but imagine it will be about the same.

roboRIO's DIO have 40K to GND. VILmax is 0.8V, and VIHmin is 2.0V. Current into the FPGA is negligible.

[insert basic circuit theory here]
