2015 control system: new radio?

With the coming of the 2015 control system, I have heard and seen things about a new com system with what looked to be a USB stick? I was at a distance but it appeared to be a smaller....MUCH smaller radio they are looking into. Anyone else hear of this?

The alpha testers were given a Asus USB WiFi adapter, rated for about 300 Mbps . When Dean was presenting the Founder's Award to Qualcomm however, he hinted at something they were working on that would be a significant change for our radios. Custom FRC radio system perhaps?

I walked out to newton field friday night about 10 minutes before pits closed and there were people on there setting up robot Rios and testing traffic with those asus ones I believe.

The wireless adapter being used in current demos and public testing might not end up being the system chosen for 2015.
