We are using the Parallax StampW editor v1.096. We are making use of four of the Stamp 2SX's program areas. Because all four programs share normal RAM (aka registers) and scratchpad ram, we have separated those definitions out into an include file, and I wrote a simple preprocessor which inserts the include file into each of the project source files. (I plan on sharing it after I have had a chance to hone it a little.) : iwas woundering what every one was using to do there programing? |
Advantages?

I've run into slight problems with using too many variables (nothing deleting some default code couldn't fix) but haven't even come close to hitting the max program size... Size is the only reason I can see to use that many. I'd love to see the code, though... Also, the BASIC Stamp Editor is now in v1.1... Don't ask me how it's different, but noticed the other day a newer version was out. Adam |

Posted by Adam Krajewski on 02/27/2001 1:36 PM EST: Program size is exactly why I split the system into four programs. During debugging, I had so many debug statements in there that I ran out of program space. Thanks for the tip that StampW v1.1 is out. It looks like it adds support for the BASIC Stamp 2P. Unfortunately, it doesn't fix at least the most glaring of the bugs I have reported to them. Greg : Why exactly do you use four programs?
