Catwalk Matches 2014 CMP. Aerial Assist from above.

Here are some matches viewed from the Catwalk at the EJD.

As usual, it is an interesting perspective of Aerial Assist. More focussed on lateral movement. Some matches are good, some are "qualifications" :-)

Enjoy the perspective.

Newton Match 137. 16 Bomb Squad vs. 330 Beach Bots et al.
Probably the best.

Newton Match 136, a good typical match.

Galileo Match 132. 148 Robowranglers and 1717 D'Penguineers et al.
I apologize for the awkward angle.

Newton Match I dunno. I need help with this one.

Here is an interesting video of a match where I circled the Archimedes field during Match 87:

The 195 CyberKnights aim was off, big time, but their defense was classic Aerial Assist.

I can't believe you go all the way up there.
I would absolutely lose it....

How do you get up there and how do you get permission?

I don't think that's Newton, the field entry/exit signs are different. My best guess is Archimedes match 140. I think the robot with the flashlight is 1519.

I volunteer with the Media Center. If the venue staff allows it, we take photojournalists up there.

This catwalk is very beefy and nice.

Ed, Atlanta was twice as high.

Good eye, Joe! I don't know that many people would have recognized any of the robots on the field from this perspective!

Yes, this is Archimedes match 140:

Red - 4583, 4010, 103
Blue - 1519, 527, 2067

Blue won 167 to 87.

Thanks to MooreteP for shooting the video and posting it!

Now, How about this one:

Curie. A match somewhere between 130 and 150.

Ouch, we (2067) really could not drive in that match.
Field centric swerve drive with a crazy failing gyro does not work very well :P

Anyway, thanks MooreteP for these, it's a really nice vantage point.

Match 135.

1902 is the bright orange robot, 11 is yellow, and 4334 is the tiny one.

It's curie match 135. Only match in that range with 2 robots with 2 digit team numbers on red, and 4334 and 1714's bumper numbers are readable.
