Rescued TEAM Flags Left at Championship

I rescued about 26 Team Flags at St. Louis. ( Had to throw out 4 TShirts and couple stray shoes to fit them all in my bag…)

Got them in our Field House here in PNW / Seattle. Go ahead and contact me here or on Facebook.
If you learn the new PNW FIRST DANCE I will send you your flag.
Heck I'll send it anyway, but the dance is sorta fun. See links here or Facebook or youtube.

Here is list of Team Flags..also there is one orange one with 3 cones? no Team number. Someone will connect. I connected with some of you on Facebook or your websites…so this is sorta backup. If anyone knows good contacts for these teams..let them know and/or me know. Thanks. Brogan Thomsen Bt

Thank you for doing this for so many teams! We tried this last year to varying degrees of success and failure.

Just sent you a PM with my mailing info - you can send me the MN team's flags (2169 and 3313) and I'll make sure they both get them in two weeks at the State Tournament.

And you need to post a link here of the dance... I want to see if it's any better than the little dance/cheer my team came up with last year!

One of the best FIRST moments i have had was when you returned our flag last year at the robot rumble. You were dressed in Blue Cheese's finest when you did it. Classic.

I tweeted at 2169 and 3313. I'll send them emails when I get a chance as well.

Thank you for doing this for all of those teams though! Sorry you had to lose four shirts and a few shoes :( Maybe each of the teams you helped would be kind enough to send one of their tshirts back?

Looks like Brogan didn't post the links to the dance.

Here is the world premier of the dance at the PNW DCMP. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z8C--du84Jk

Here is the facebook group scroll down to see some various versions with captions or in slow motion.

I can get a hold of both European teams and if you can't get in contact with Children of the Swamp (179) I live 20 minutes from them and would be glad to drive it down to them.

Edit: tweets have been sent to both European teams :)

I know this isn't really my business- but I just wanted to point out that shipping a flag from the rescue location to your address above (assuming it is relatively light and a few feet long) would cost about $150 US or 518.28 Israeli New Sheqel. I think that may be a little too much to ask someone to do for free! Perhaps your team could arrange to help brogan22orange so he doesn't have to pay that to return your flag. I would offer to chip in- but can't afford that at the moment.

Yeah that might be a fun game…but ask Lauren or the other MC Assistants…those tireless troops who handle all the flags and Swag for the MC's…they'll tell you it would be way better to have Team number on each flag/pole.
Thanks for the mystery= solved. Brogan

Yeah I had gathered all the flags from all 5 fields and placed them out on the red carpet there nearish Einstein… had some good connections giving out quite a few.
But then later, after packing up a few fields…I notice this leftover group..some really nice ones..
The various venue folks just said well we can do anything..no lost and found..just toss 'em…
Well heck that didn't sit too well with me so I quickly disassembled these and packed them up….yeah had to ditch the poles…?? Carry on Baggage…ah no no sir…So looks like many have found me…or me sleuthing out them…internet/ Facebook so handy!.
Thanks for the comment/ support. See you on the next field.

You'll see me again next year, the team I'm now a mentor with already has their hotel booked and plane tickets will be bought for mentors over summer. So best of luck in 2015, see you in St Louis!! (and I'd so buy one of your shirts or jumpsuits that I see on your website)

A folded flag weighs about 3 pounds and can fit into a flat-rate box; I am sure it would cost less than half that.

Nonetheless, I think ANY team wanting their flag back should pay for the shipping; Brogan was kind enough to rescue it, don't expect him to pay to send it back to you too.

Re: Rescued TEAM Flags Left at Championship

384 is Sparky (Tucker High School) from Richmond, Va. Its not surprising the flag got left behind as we (1610) were supposed to share a bus with them and 5 hours before we were to leave the bus company cancelled on us. Both teams had to scramble to find a way to St. Louis. I can try and contact Mr Clarke from Sparky about it.

When I did that calculation, I assumed they still had their poles attached, and would be about 5 pounds total (which was close), but regardless...

Hi Emperius: still no direct email to me on this. As well as No PM. So I would like a california address since I am having trouble getting USPS to accept any of the Israel addresses I have..such as the one supplied by you….the page just says there is an error and get in a loop…. I will copy my email on a PM to you here.
OK So again my goal is
1.Send 4 flags one box to somewhere for less than $70 bucks ( 3x 23.50 flat rate )
AND
2. Get you guys to Learn and Do the PNW FIRST DANCE !

OK Thanks for helping, Brogan from Seattle, Dance Captain and Flag Rescue Project Head….

….No word back from Leonardo Aldana……
Last one no confirm yet (Ron Visser)..on Team 4481 Rembrandts flag is a Generic Netherlands Country Flag…OK... but perhaps not worth the 18-to- $23 to send back??
Good News is quite a few have promised to do the Dance….Whoo Hoo!

I have messaged LamBot on Facebook as well as PMed you their contact info.
I hope their flag makes its way back home soon.

(Our team thought we had lost our flag as we were packing up since no one had seen it displayed on field for our last few matches. It turned up in a team member's garage, hanging from the rafters, a few days later without explanation.)

No prob Jeremy: glad to do this for such Great Teams…I know they had much to do back in St.Louis….so as I am a troubleshooter with FIRST things / Field Supervisor guy and and in most worlds too..… It was right up my alley. [ didn't need the sweaty shirts in my carry-on anyway…..ha!]…[ hmm come to think of it maybe I could a MADE some cool shirts FROM the flags…gad…next season's idea…!]

Almost done now , just a Mexico and the Israel group.
Here is copy of PM sent telling a bit more detail…wherein I again mention the FIRST DANCE component
= = = == = copy below = = ==

Yes ... sent a few things from CD and then got Team Contact from local mentor. Bottom line is confirmed address pretty much with…

As I have mentioned to a few and on Facebook, and flyer in Flag Package,
I did spend now about $124 on this 'Rescue Project'..been rather fun actually …hunting up contacts and connections. Gad..still sort of waiting on Israel teams and a mexico…those have been more complicated to ship..customs etc..more $ too not bad like $24 each around there.

So in lieu of payment I am requesting that Teams learn and Do the new PNW FIRST DANCE..
.
Actually hope to have at least a few video posts of teams doing the dance…it is spreading around the country now WITH your help. Check the various links here and Facebook group and youtube etc.

Thanks for helping out with the connections…Brogan from Seattle

THANK YOU SO MUCH for returning it to us. It was hand made 3 years ago and would have been very sad to lose it.

Thanks again!!

So when is your team going to post the video of them doing the dance here https://www.facebook.com/groups/167892606597201/ You've got your flag and Brogan needs his video ;)
