Midwest Volunteer Passes

From Dan Green,

I am sorry to be the bearer of sad news, but I received word today of the passing of Frank Toussaint. Frank was a long-time WildStang mentor, a co-worker at Motorola, and a volunteer at FIRST competitions.

For those of you that didn't know Frank, he was a great guy with a deep baritone voice who always had a positive disposition - and a passion for FIRST. Even in recent years, after the sudden passing of his wife and his health issues - he was still a fixture at the Midwest Regional. He helped with Queuing, and could always be seen in his chair near the Playing Field. I am glad I saw him there last month, and enjoyed talking with him as always. His presence at WildStang sessions during many build seasons was a constant, and we grew to depend on his participation and insights. Even in recent years, after retiring from WildStang he made it to a couple of our WildStang Invitationals to cheer us on.

Frank will be missed.

So sorry to hear this news. I had the pleasure of queueing at MWR with Frank. He was sick last year, but was there just last month to help out. Thanks for letting us know, Al. Frank will be missed by the FIRST community.

Frank was a member of my crew and it was sad to hear of his passing. He was very helpful at Midwest this year and seemed in very good spirits at the event. As the previous lead que at Midwest he gave alot of helpful information on how to best approach queing the venue was always a professional about it.
He will be missed.
