Team Tators is looking forward to some good competition as we prepare to return to Norcal for an off-season outing. Big thanks to 2073 for hosting the event, hope to have some fun with your team both on and off the field. We anticipate bringing two robots to the event, our 2014 competition robot and a newly developed design. Eager to see the full roster of teams....

We were planning to release the final team list today, however, we have extended the registration closing date to August 19th to allow for space to fill.

So, while in the shop today, we came across an old game piece. It got us thinking, how could we use this to modify the game at CCC?

If you are using the 40" balls, Tators may have to dust off the 2008 flop bot...

Oh man! I loved that robot! I recall you won an award for that design and subsequently they patched the rules so you can't do that kind of thing anymore.

That's the one. NH got a call to weigh in on the legality of the design before we could compete.

Also, we will be using the IRI rule changes, except we're keeping the 3-ball autonomous rule, and the serpentine draft.

The Tator wagon is loaded and will be on the road at noon for a leisurely trip to Sacramento. Excited for the opportunity to play with some friends as well as to meet some new teams.

As we are bringing a small crew, has there been an update re: a webcast of the event?

Andrew, you earn the big donut award! Yes this ball will be used for the secret in game. Details will be provided at the tournament.
If any other teams still have this ball from Overdrive (2008) , please bring it. It will help in case our 1 ball explodes.

[edit]701 has located theirs, so it will be there as well.[/edit]

Team 1678 will be webcasting Capital City Classic at http://www.twitch.tv/frc1678. Everything should be running at least 30 minutes before the kickoff. Looking forward to seeing all the teams!
