3-turn pots

Other on team #122, NASA Knights, from Grafton High School (Robotics team is at NHGS) and NASA. My team is looking for a 3-turn potentiometer for our robot. As of now, our pot is a 10-turn, and we could get better accuracy with a 3-turn (since that's about all we need). We can't seem to find any 3-turn pots that are also 100k, as per the rules; they seem to stop selling 3-turn pots at 50k. I was just wondering if anyone knew where to get some 3-turn, 100k pots. Thanks for your time. Can you use a pulley to "gear up" to use a 10-turn ? There's a 100k linear 4-turn radial-lead trimmer from Bourns, on page 405 of the current DigiKey(.com) catalog. It's a P.C. mount, and has a Philips head ('X') adjuster, but might be adaptable. I'm not a big fan of planetary drive, though, (slippage as it wears) and I think most of the 1 |
