On Einstein, 469 trussed over 254's human player repeatedly because their arc was high and their shot was powerful. Had their repeated ejection of the game piece caused a couple fouls to be called against them, Finals may have turned out in favor of the Red Alliance. One could say that that call shouldn't have been made because of the rules, "Passing a BALL to a HUMAN PLAYER is within gameplay and not considered a violation of G11." One could say that that call shouldn't have been made because nobody at any other regionals (or CMP) was calling it. But whether you think the call should've been made or not, it affected an elimination match of a team that had come "properly prepared" with all their students having taken a test of the rules before being allowed to attend competition. If anything, preparedness in terms of rules knowledge makes some of the regionals all the more difficult when refs, volunteers, and coaches don't know what they're talking about. Driver meetings become stressful when you're trying to understand an event staff's take on the rules, rather than being able to rely on what's available here. |

Competition was awesome. End of Story. Any other issues regarding other previous competitions should be brought to the attention of those who put it together.
