The question is, will their 2015 robot transform in autonomous?

The walking robots on the table around Mark Walberg were built by FRC Team 1501's own Mike Smyth.
Here's one of his early ones: http://www.chiefdelphi.com/media/photos/22809 Mike was flown to the film site, given a room at a 4 star hotel and the use of a car for the time he was there. He's got several funny stories from when he was there. One I remember was the one where Mark knocked one of the robots off the table. The director yelled cut and you could have heard a pin drop it was so quiet. Mike picked up the bot and did a quick check. He got it working and said "It's takes a licking but keeps on ticking." The entire crew laughed. |

Jake Cooper, our driver, and I had a great time on set with Mike. We shared stories for the two days while on the set and talked about FRC, robots and the movie itself. In addition, Steve Norris from http://www.norrislabs.com/ was on set with his robots. He had the footstool robot, the frig and trashcan robot along with some others of his. |
