I love this quote. I remember my first few meetings on team 0173 back in 2001. I never would have expected that my team would go on to win the Championship that year, nor would I have expected that I would have become team president my senior year. Not knowing what you will be doing is amazing! Try it all, learn from your peers and mentors, and have fun. That is what FIRST is all about!

15 years after starting on an FLL team, I have the privilege to work for AndyMark(you will know us pretty well later on this year), and I get to live FIRST for a living. I for sure never would have thought that 15 years ago I would get to do this for my career. It just goes to show, you never know what will happen, and to keep exploring!

Nah, we're switching to Vex this year because of our gearbox problems last year. ;)

Just in case anyone takes this seriously, we abuse all FRC suppliers equally.

And just in case you still don't understand sarcasm... we love both AndyMark and Vex for everything they do. The work these folks put into their products is amazing.

Since the Zebracorns have decided to reuse this thread for new members, maybe it could be made more useful to the CD community by being converted into a "New to CD roll call” that other teams could also tell their members to post to. Mods, can you change the title?

Granted, I’m no longer a "member" of 900, so changing the name of the thread may confuse the Zebracorn newbies who were told to post on it. I assume if a 900 mentor okays the proposal in a reply then that’d be good to go.

NOOO!!! It's my one opportunity to pick on one of my favorite students by explaining that they have to search for "role" instead of "roll". ;)

Actually, I'm ok with this but I'll have to amend the homework assignment so students know about it. I would actually suggest a new thread be created and then we can merge this one into it within some short period of time.

She's not telling the full story. She's one of the best drivers I've seen... and she started as a freshman. We told her we were switching back to tank drive this year from swerve and she said "No".
