FIRST Promotional Video - Media Request
 

To all FTC, FLL, and JrFLL teams;

Our FRC team, Team Paradise 1165, has been commissioned by the Phoenix Suns NBA team to produce a 30 second PSA about all of FIRST's programs to be shown at the November 5th game versus the Memphis Grizzlies. We are in need of images and videos to answer the question of "What is FIRST?" Clips and pictures of building, testing, competing, and kids having fun would be appreciated. If you could share these materials as soon as possible, it would be most appreciated! Thanks in advance!!!

Definitely contact FIRST marketing and take a look at existing PSAs FIRST has produced on their youtube channel.

It contains a few nice shots of the pit areas and some b-roll shots of match preparation and play. Unfortunately, the source footage no longer exists due to district-wide computer wipes, but I hope this helps!

This last post from GIL3075 is very good.
It captures the spirit and it has subtitles should the arena be too loud to hear any audio.

FIRST just released videos called "What is FRC?" "What is FTC?" and so on. They were released about the time of worlds this year. There are a lot of good clips from those videos.

As someone who has her footage in many of those videos, PLEASE ask FIRST permission before using them.

Even if you are just taking clips out you need to ask permission. They're owned by FIRST and meant for use by FIRST.

Questions regarding footage use or ANYTHING branded belonging to FIRST : marketing@usfirst.org . As long as your usage is within the guidelines and for promotion of the program, they should also be able to help you get the quality of media you need.
