Please see the note below from Kathryn Myers in the FIRST Volunteer Resources Department regarding FRC Championship Volunteer Recruitment for 2015.
Hi everyone,

As everyone is aware by now, we are in need of many more FRC volunteers for the 2015 Championship because of the greater number of teams we’ll be hosting. In addition, to the Key Volunteer roles we will need to fill, such as Referee and Robot Inspector, we have many more volunteer positions available that could be filled by someone with no prior volunteer experience, such as Field Assembly and Disassembly, Judge Room Runners, Practice Field Attendants, Radio Room Monitor, Safety Glasses Attendants and Volunteer Café Attendants.

If you are able to volunteer, even for a few hours on one day, please register in the FIRST Volunteer Information and Matching System (VIMS) *Select “FRC” under Programs and select “Missouri” under State/Province: https://my.usfirst.org/FIRSTPortal/L...IMS_Login.aspx

Thank you in advance for volunteering!

The FIRST Volunteer Resources Department

As will I.

Though, not quite doing as many events as you are Ed.

There are few volunteers that do as many events as Ed. I need to figure out which classes to take to ensure I have no exams then. I missed Champs last year because of one misplaced Differential Equations exam *grumbles to self*.

I volunteered weeks ago. See you all in Duluth, {Peoria|Denver}, Minneapolis, and St. Louis!

As an added note to this thread, ALL FIRST volunteers have to register in VIMs, regardless of program. FTC/FLL and JrFLL volunteers have to register as well.

I'll be there, too.

I'll be there! Starting with this fall, by the time I get to champs, I'll have inspected at 2 off-season, 2 week zero (probably), and two regionals (can I count it as 4 if I walk across the hall/street in Duluth and Minneapolis?), And I'll still have the MN state tournament to do before the season is over!

Ya think?

If there ever was a good year to make plans to volunteer at CMP this far in advance...THIS IS THE YEAR. Hotels, airfare, and almost everything else are (generally) cheaper and more available this far in advance.

What jobs are high school students allowed to volunteer to do?

We just got permission to bring part or all of our FRC leadership team, and thought they could help for a day (between attending some sessions at the conference, touring the pits, meeting teams, and all the other stuff that would be beneficial to their learning experience).

Kids on my team and I did field reset! I think another one could be safety glasses anything. Practice field I think is for people under 18 too.

Chief VC Jess Boucher posted in the FB Vol Lounge recently that she is looking for Official Scorers. Want ring side? Be an official scorer!

After getting 7 weekends in a row off from work, I don't think they'd be very happy if I requested a whole week off

Hey man, you can't just post that publicly, didn't you read the handbook?

All bribe negotiations must be conducted in private, public bidding for awards is highly discouraged.
