3.25" Vex Versa Wheel Traction

Can anybody who has used these wheels shed some light on their performance? More specifically, how do they compare with roughtop tread, and how easily can they be pushed sideways? Also, how often should we expect to change them, and do we need to be worried about wheel strength?

These wheels are decent in performance. I would say they have a good amount of traction, they can be pushed head on against the nitrile tread but can push just about any thread sideways. They are a bit softer then the wedge top versawheels.
I suggest replacing them after each competition or you are gonna have a bad time with t-boning.
We have used both and and prefer the wedgetop. They should make a 3.25 inch version of those with a hex bore.

On a related note has anyone experienced any failures of any kind (other than extreme tread wear) with these wheels? We love the AndyMark Performance wheels but solid aluminium can get heavy and expensive.

Also, has anyone had any luck removing the tread they come with and applying something better, like Blue Nitrile?
