2015 NASA Grant

NASA is supposed to post the winners of its 2015 grant within the hour on this page.

Fingers crossed.

We're all waiting anxiously here at 5400!

There have been a few years where the announcement was delayed a few days.

Re: 2015 NASA Grant

Last year was delayed by quite a bit. The whole government shutdown really threw a wrench into the announcement.

Nothing yet...still waiting with fingers crossed and lots of hope.

Dancing on the desk because I just finished the selections of 278 FIRST Robotics Competition teams to receive NASA mini-grants for this year’s FRC season.
Look for it soon.

I would imagine that we won't hear anything official until at least Monday.

Just out of curiosity, what version of the Grant did you all apply for?

I don't imagine you all went for the Rookie one :)

Team 614 also applied for a sustaining grant.

Team 3844 applied for a Regional Challenge Grant for the New York Tech Valley Regional. I hope we can get it. None of our students have ever been to the Northeast. There are only 29 teams registered for the NY Tech Valley Regional at the moment.

Has anyone heard anything yet? I keep checking on the NASA and FIRST websites, but nothing is coming up. I don't know if teams get emailed first?

Since today's a federal holiday I would guess the earliest they would make the announcement would be tomorrow.

This link is no longer showing a 404 error page . . . so assuming they plan to use that page, they may be updating something soon. Or they are just messing with us.

Thank you NASA! The extent to which you support FIRST, in numerous ways, is simply incredible. Team WARP is thrilled to have the opportunity to proudly wear your logo on our robot.

Congratulations to all awarded teams!

Congratulations to everyone who got it! Best of luck to all teams. Shout out to all the rookies out there who worked so hard to get it. I'm so happy/proud/excited for my team and everyone!:D :D :D

Thank you, NASA. You're helping us out a tremendous amount. We are so so grateful.

Also, i found an inspirational space-related quote “The probability of success is difficult to estimate; but if we never search the chance of success is zero.” - Giuseppe Cocconi and Philip Morrison’s paper ‘Searching for Interstellar Communications’, one of the first formal rational arguments supporting the search for extraterrestrial intelligence.
