Unable to get SmartDashboard Source
 

I posted earlier today on this but I am still unable to get the SmartDashboard source, which my team and I need to customize our driver station, Someone said it was no longer on First Forge and pointed me to team forge, but I still cannot clone it from team forge (and yes, I registered an account on team forge). If anyone has it, could you please PM me so I can send you my email so you can email it to me or if anyone knows where I can get it can they post the link. :confused:

Old smart dashboard (git): https://usfirst.collab.net/sf/scm/do...tdashboard/scm (use `git clone ssh://usfirst.collab.net:29418/smart_dashboard` You NEED to set up a ssh key)

new smart dashboard/SFX (git): https://usfirst.collab.net/sf/scm/do...dashboard2/scm (git clone the 3 that have SFX in their name. You NEED to set up a ssh key)

Thanks for your reply! I added an ssh key (the one I use for Github) to my account (I didn't have one before) but I still don't seem to be able to access the source. Do you know if you need to be a member of the project to be able to clone it, as thats the only thing I can think of right now.
Here is what I get when I try to clone it:
arthur@nubz ~/Desktop $ git clone ssh://ArthurA@usfirst.collab.net:29418/smart_dashboard
Cloning into 'smart_dashboard'...
fatal: Project not found: smart_dashboard
fatal: Could not read from remote repository.

Please make sure you have the correct access rights
and the repository exists.

Any ideas?

Do you have permissions to clone the new sfx repositories from collab.net? If you can clone it, then the old smart dashboard likely has the wrong permissions. if you can't, then something else is amiss

Ok I got the source, someone sent it to me via email. I will upload it to github in the next couple of days and then post a link here so if anyone else needs it then they can get it.

but first removed it on purpose prior to kickoff and will release the compiled code encrypted prior to kickoff.

I just updated the access permissions. The smart dashboard project should be readable by anybody, even without being a project member.

I attempted to clone the repository and the error continues. Also, the online git browser shows "Not Found" for the project.

This problem has still not been resolved. A link to allow anonymous access to WPILib was released, could the same thing be done for the Smart Dashboard?

I tried using git clone "https://usfirst.collab.net/gerrit/smart_dashboard" (the same link used to access WPILib, but with the project name changed), but it gives me "fatal: remote error: Git access forbidden" when I try to login.

Hi lopsided, I was talking to Patrick a while ago (He manages the repositories) and hey told me been having trouble getting the official repositories permission set correctly. He just told me to use his public mirrors which are updated more often than the official CollabNet reposotories(he also linked them above). https://bitbucket.org/byteit101/sfx https://bitbucket.org/byteit101/sfxlib https://bitbucket.org/byteit101/sfxmeta https://bitbucket.org/byteit101/sfxcv and https://bitbucket.org/byteit101/fx-livewindow

But I must warn you in advance I recently set up my development environment and I found it really hard to setup my development environment and I had to email Patrick multiple times about multiple problems I had getting setup. I mostly followed this guide here but it is slightly outdated so I will try to get around to updating it and posting the problems I had and how to get around them for anyone else who wants to compile the code.

I know about those, but they are for the new SmartDashboard FX, not the original one.

I would really like to get the source for the old one as well ... At this point I would settle for just an archive of the source - I can probably figure out how to get it built within Eclipse. In return, I will find the bug that causes it to write a zero length configuration file every now and then and cause you to start all over again.

I will try to keep this up to date, but as I no longer develop it (currently working on SFX) I can't make many promises of how up to date it will stay. At the very least, this is the current source as of 2 mintues ago
