VEXpro 2015 Product line launch

Since the launch is tomorrow, how does everyone feel about it and what do you expect? I am hoping for thicker 1x1" for sure. VersaPlans. for a cim and mini cim wouldn't be a bad upgrade either. I haven't seen any details on the time it will be shown or a link; if someone knows let me know please.

I'm hoping for more ball shifter gear sizes, GT2 profile VersaPulleys, more durable W-tread, maybe more VersaPulley sizes. A COTS camera mount with pan and tilt would be nice. I hope they keep everything the same with the versaplanetary. I love that whole product line.

Maybe they'll let Aren go nuts and make a Vex swerve system.

The vex swerve....that might be something crazy awesome!

Im personally hoping for some more all in one hex wheels to eliminate the need to use the versahubs.

I only have 1 wish, and its better WCP shifters. I don't like the ball shifters because of how deep they are in a WCD, and the current WCP shifters have some problems. Mainly, I would like to see a 3 CIM shifter using the 3 CIM SS plates. Great ratios, compact, and a generally nice and simple design. A flat 254 style shifter would be cool too for options, but I'd prefer the other one more.

I'm hoping they add an option for a steel shifting shaft for the ball shifter with an improved encoder mounting setup. An electronic shifting module (perhaps using one of the vex pro motors). A passive breakout board for the roboRIO. I'm sure they'll surprise us.

Out of curiosity, what problems do you have with the WCP shifters? Also if you tried packaging the 3 CIM DS in SS plates there would be no room for a shifting cylinder with the current setup.

8 months?!?! We build robots in 6 weeks! Surely professionals can revamp entire product lines in 24 hours, right? :-P

Please... 3/8" hex bore versahubs.
I didn't want these before, but afer dealing with some 3/8" hex in some recent designs, they would be great.
I mean, there's 3/8" hex shaft, bearings, collars, and gears. But no versahubs, which is like the backbone of Vex IMO. It just doesn't logically follow.
Anyway, I can't wait to see the new stuff. Always cool to see all the new stuff.

The 3 CIM is too tall, and I don't like the reversal on the 3rd cim. Also I'm not a huge fan of the ratios it works with. A 50t cluster gear would be much better then a 42t cluster gear.

And the cylinder does fit. I cadded it earlier in the summer. It's tight, and it would only work with the vex pancakes they have, but it does fit.

I'm definitely looking forward to seeing what's new. I hope there's a surprise or two in there.

More gear and sprocket options would never hurt my feelings. Neither would more VersaWheel options.

If we could buy any even numbered 20 DP gear from 12T to 84T, would that be awesome or would it take some of the fun out of gearbox design?
