In the top right hand corner there is a button labeled help. This button takes you to a page with information regarding the website, including the definitions of the various edible banner statistics. This button will be made more visible.

This is actually the same thing that wilful pointed out earlier. I am actively working on this issue and have found the solution. The website will be updated to fix this very soon.

Thank you for pointing this out. I hate inaccurate data.

Also, there's definitely data other than '05 missing - for example, 1923 is listed as only having one banner (not true.) Even if you're only counting 'banners' as event wins, we have two - 2009 New Jersey and 2011 Connecticut. Not sure which one is missing, since (as Allen mentioned) you can't tell what the listed one is from. This would be a helpful feature not only for searching but also in helping troubleshoot what's still coming in. :)

It seems to be missing some blue alliance data too. 236 got regional chairmans in 2008 that shows on blue alliance but not on BBQ.

2009 is missing for 1923

This is very helpful. One suggestion to assist in gauging a team's on field robot performance would be to net out blue banners associated with Chairman's awards earned. You could label this measure "Hot Sauce" in keeping with your food-centric nomenclature...

These stats ... make no sense. The ranking of the results attempts to find a level of comparative competitiveness based upon 10 seasons of data in a competition where the only thing which is guaranteed to last 10 seasons are the bigger investments a team has made in tooling, infrastructure or facilities.

The stats don't even take into account groups of teams which keep winning the same Regional, thereby inflating that event's BBQ-ness.

It seems to me like we'd get a more realistic picture by using the trailing 2-4 years of event data for a given event and year, rather than "for all time".

It seems to me that the statistics you are looking for are BRIQUETTE (Basically BBQ based on the last four years) and RIBS (BBQ based on the previous year).

Also, to calculate BBQ, the website is using every blue banner ever won (once the data is fixed in about an hour). SAUCE is the statistic that only has 10 years of data.

No it isn't. It's also no prank that the new data is uploaded. I have verified the banner counts of the teams that had missing blue banners, and that looks good now.

Oh and by the way:

Consider it done: http://bbqfirst.x10host.com/team_inf...=2015&tem=3847

Since I'm pretty confident that I have accurate data, I will update the calculations for each regional. That script takes about an hour so expect the website to be down around an hour from now for up to 5 minutes.

Nope, still missing 2005 Orlando.

In 2005, the Orlando Regional was officially called The Florida Regional.

It can be found here: http://bbqfirst.x10host.com/event_in...05fl&year=2005

and here: http://www.thebluealliance.com/event/2005fl

If your team is missing awards from this event, it is probably because TBA doesn't have an awards page for the Florida Regional in 2005.

Cant you manually input it? Missing banners, however many the amount, completely alters any data after the year missing data.

Beaker 20-12-2014 13:54

I will manually input the data for you and your alliance partners, and make note of it so that the script doesn't overwrite it.

I was just joking about how many ridiculous acronyms there are for statistics.
