Me? No. I installed the entirety of the update suite, I didn't uncheck the LabVIEW update. I did not install, download, nor obtain the CD for the LabView update.

Right now, I don't have access to the cd and I don't have the 4gb download (nor the time) so I'll check the cd installation tomorrow for the tools. If they are on there, than the update suite is definitely lacking the assets. I'm 100% sure that I have the entirety of the update suite downloaded and installed on my computer.

E/ I just ran the update suite again. All 4 aspects of the suite got skipped as they were already installed. National Instruments folder still does not contain a LabView 2014 folder.

2E/ I can also confirm this tomorrow using our development station, which I have not yet updated with the 2015 tools.

I just helped a half dozen teams get running with C++. Not a single one installed anything from a DVD or the 4gb LabVIEW download. They all installed the Update Suite and all had the imaging tool.

There's something happening with your configuration.

I'm fairly certain theres some glitch with the installer. Heres what I just did

1) Programs and features -> Uninstall a program -> National Instruments Software
2) Uninstalled everything listed
3) Checked the rest of the programs for anything ni-related, labview-related, or frc-related (nothing)
4) Restarted my computer
5) Ran the LabView Update for 2015

and it gave me this message
Code:

Installation Summary
No software will be installed or removed.

note that the other 3 components (driver station, gamepad, and utilities) gave me the same error before the above process but install normally after the process. Is it possible my LabView installation got corrupted when I initially tried to uninstall it?

Im going on a limb here, but when you ran the NI Update Installer, did you try installing directly from the .zip file or did you click Extract All Files? The update .zip is technically password protected, but for some reason Windows will open it to view files without having to enter the password. When you click Extract All, it will ask for the password that can be found on the same page as the updates. It seems to me like the setup is only running the main application and not running the payload installers.

Don't remember but installing the lab view package first allowed th update to Install properly. Silly.

When I used the DVD that came in the kit 2014 Labview was installed and then I installed the FRC update. I had no problem finding the Imaging Tool exactly where FIRST said it would be.

You keep mentioning that you are looking in the Labview 2013 folder. This is not correct and tells me that you do not have the proper version of Labview installed for this year. I would say take a step back and make sure Labview 2014 is loaded on your computer first if you are using Labview this year and then install the update to see if that works.

Reading all of the posts in a thread is helpful!

After installing the update suite and NOT the labview suite (as specified on the updates page), certain components were not able to download properly and thus no Labview 2014 folder was created. Installing the 2015 LabView update didn't make the LabView 2014\projects\roboRIO\ folder but it did enable the update suite to run properly.

I'm not sure why but if anyone else runs into a similar issue... install LV first.
