We planned on having one, but parts of the plan fell through and we don't have the space for one. I've heard rumors of 2832 and 548 having ones nearby.

This would be really helpful for pretty much everyone. I, personally, would love to see any taped matches!

I'm interested in those videos.

I would caution you to make sure the teams are okay with their robot being recorded and posted to the internet.

Thanks for reminding me of this. I'll probably have to post some or all of the videos after the Top25 Premiere Night (Feb 23). I'll fairly certain Mike and Justin will be at Rally so I'll ask them about it.

I think he was referring to the fact that you should ask the teams themselves if they are okay with their robots being posted, not just Mike and Justin.

Does anyone know of any week 0 events in California? Closer LA?

Funny you should ask. The Southern California Regional Robotics Forum will be holding their annual Pre-Bag Scrimmage at Harvey Mudd College this coming Saturday, 2/14 and Sunday 2/15. Rookie teams get in free.

Full details and Registration details can be found here:

The 7 Rivers Robotics Coalition will be hosting a Week 0 Event at Luther High School in Onalaska, Wisconsin. We have a full "home made" field setup. We will also be running FMS. Saturday (Feb. 14) will be practice and Sunday (Feb. 15) will be competition.

Thank you to 2472 (Centurions) and 2052 (KnightKrawlers) for hosting today's week Zero Event at Centennial HS. There was some great competition there as always. In fact, all but two MN State Champion teams were in attendance... 2169, 3883, 2052, 2175 and 4607.

There were a lot of strong teams in attendance including perennial powerhouse 3313 (10000 Lakes Champs and Chairman's Winners) and 2846 (Minne-Mini Champs).

3130 Errors had the best robot in attendance with the robot making stacks of 4 all day with ease and had a few 36 point stacks as well. 2181 (GEARs) and 3038 ICE) also had impressive showings.

Rookie Team 5542 (Roboherd) made quite a splash - who knew a Rookie Team could have that many members?

Looking forward to Week 1!

Does anyone have any video footage of week 0 matches? I'd love to see how things are panning out.

Team 537's Mini-Regional and the District 112 Week Zero Event are currently streaming live on YouTube.

Suffield Shakedown also has archived footage posted on Livestream.

Agreed that you should always consult with teams before sharing their videos. Just to be clear over at FRCTOP25 we have changed the rules a bit this year based on all the feedback we got last year. They are more lenient to allow teams to show preliminary videos.

Check the rules out at http://www.frctop25.com/premiere-night-2015/

And as always feel free to email any questions to mikeandjustinitm[@]gmail[.]com
