Controlling LEDs

Hello, this is the first we are using addressable LED strips controlled by a arduino on our robot, and we were going to use limit switches to change between the colors. Does the limit switches have to be connected to the roboRio or can it go straight to the arduino?

Re: Controlling LEDs

You can wire them directly to the arduino or into the roborio, whichever you prefer.

The rules prevent you from controlling things like motors and actuators from anything but the roboRIO, but you can read sensor data on any coprocessor you like.
