roboRIO Programming
Hello everyone, I was getting slightly confused through the various posts about the roboRIO system and was wanting to confirm that robot C is compatible with the roboRIO. Sorry if this was discussed in an earlier thread. :o

Re: roboRIO Programming
The three officially supported languages are LabVIEW, Java, and C++. However, the ingenuity of this community is endless, and you'll see people with some very interesting solutions, such as programming in python even.
Pretty much what I'm saying is that is it officially supported, as in mentioned in the screensteps? No. Is it possible? I'm sure, my experience with robotC is limited but I'm sure it could be done. Finally, why? Eclipse is a very nice IDE and anything you can do in robotC you can do in Eclipse, and it would give you the benefit of not treading new ground if you're unsure about it. I'd recommend using Eclipse C++ if you were used to RobotC. EDIT: actually, checking their website, they say that they support NXT and VEX, and say nothing about NI. I don't think it's compatible at all. |
