USB B cable stuck in RoboRIO
Help. It's stuck and we kind of want to take it out.

Re: USB B cable stuck in RoboRIO
What did you do to get it stuck? What have you tried to fix the problem?

Re: USB B cable stuck in RoboRIO
I don't know how else to explain it. We plugged it in to flash the firmware and now we want to take it out but it's stuck in there. We've tried pulling it straight out but that didn't work. There's not much else to do that I can think of.

Re: USB B cable stuck in RoboRIO
We had the same problem during beta testing. Some clips that are supposed to provide some holding force on the connector are bent out too far.
To fix it we pushed stiff plastic from some discarded packaging in between the connector and the socket on all four sides and then wiggled it back and forth until it came free. |

Great, glad I'm not the only one with this issue.
I think we're just gonna keep it bundled up and tucked away instead of shoving plastic in the sides every time we want to disconnect. |

A USB pigtail would be a good solution to this problem.

Re: USB B cable stuck in RoboRIO
Yes this has also happen to use. We rolled the cord up and placed electrical tape over the end. Cannot afford another one. :ahh: Too afraid to try and pull it out. Thank for letting us know that we were not crazy.
