Let’s just acknowledge that some of the Game Design Committee’s Q&A answers transcend simple customer service and pass into the realm of high art. Such as with the instant classic that is the response to Q163 submitted by our friends from Team 999, MechaRams, from Cheshire, CT, USA:

The information, factually correct. The economy of language, stunning. And the overall effect, unsurpassed. In fact we’re so unabashedly proud of this answer that we are considering immortalizing it on a t-shirt to be made available at the FIRST Championship. What do you think?

Totes Ma Goats

AndyMark, in their never-ending quest to meet the needs of even their most demanding customers, has made goats available on their website so you can complete your 'totes ma goats' experience. Currently on sale (yes!) but also on backorder (rats!).

Someone, luckily, was also able to dig up a detailed spec sheet on this item. Although that ‘brisket’ call out rather disturbingly suggests this particular model may not be intended as a long-term pet:

I like this in-joke, and I might just want this shirt.

Good one, I happened to be eating a snack while checking the blog - let's just say I have some cleanup to do. I absolutely want this shirt. Is there a way for us to order it if we're not able to travel to Championships?

I am desperately hoping that "chute door" can fully replace "corndog" as the canonical FRC in-joke.

Less fear of someone burning their shop down due to your words?

Taylor 20-01-2015 14:42

Re: [FRC Blog] Chute Door

At a glance, does the shirt sort of look like it says "chute odor" "yes, chute odor" to anybody else?

We'll just have to wait and see what sort of wackiness shows up next year.

I think the corollary for last year was "Corndogs?", "No corndogs."

And I still have nightmare about corn dogs attacking me in a school auditorium with laser beam and heavy metal in the background

If you open the chute door, do corndogs come out?

After reading the update, and following the link, I now grave error is my new Cashmere Sire selecting strategy.

BTW I would love to see the linked strategy discussion turned into an alliance selection speech.

I can see it at alliance selections now:
"Hey team xxxx, chute door."
*team representative walks up*
"Yes, chute door."

Yep. The font could be changed to something with less similar Ds and Os.

Re: [FRC Blog] Chute Door

I will buy this shirt as soon as I have the chance.

(But yes, possibly a font with less similar Os and Ds? I wouldn't have noticed until it was pointed out, but it sort of bothers me now.)

Re: [FRC Blog] Chute Door

Yeah, I would absolutely buy such a shirt were it to become available. I might spend $20 or so. Sadly, I might not be able to travel to St Louis for one.
In fact, I would even make one for myself should they be not available. No, I would not make one for others, as that might be infringement.

Re: [FRC Blog] Chute Door

This is probably the best thing I have ever seen come from FIRST. I want one of those shirts now. I will find a way to obtain it sooner, and I will have my amazing shirt with the amazing reply.

In all seriousness, was this intentional? I have no idea how you could have come up with this question if not by accident.

Question 164 is by the same person and still about chute doors. So I assume they accidentally pressed enter/submit before finishing.

There was at least one other question this year that was similarly, mistakenly submitted that was simply deleted.

At checkout it said something about "test mode".
