#25 Chain K1 Masterlink
Does anyone know where we can find a K1 or A1 masterlink for #25 Chain? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I'm not sure if its what you are looking for, but Andymark does have a masterlink for #25 chain (am-0371).

McMaster has #25 master links I think.

Re: #25 Chain K1 Masterlink
is this what you are referring to?
![]() If so, we too needed these however they were awfully expensive anywhere we looked ($25-$35 for a pack of 5 without shipping). So we were able to actually make them by replacing middle piece in this photo: ![]() with a small bracket I made using a hand drill and file. now all we have to do is buy masterlinks ($1 a piece where we are) and make a piece of sheet metal with a flange to make a $6-$7 part. |
Re: #25 Chain K1 Masterlink
In the past, we have taken a normal hex head bolt to the grinder and made something similar to this. This also gives the ability to tension your chain without an idler anywhere.
Also, Vex has their new VersaFrame Roller Chain Mount. You could bolt through three links with this plate and make your own K1 Masterlink of sorts. |
Re: #25 Chain K1 Masterlink
We didn't like the low apparent pull capability of these "links with wings," as the specs indicated we could only get a #4 screw through the #35 version. Instead, we bought some thumbscrews locally. We then drilled holes through the "handle" big enough for one side of the master link to engage, close enough to the edge so we could engage the last small link on the chain. We passed the thread end through a hole in our lift and secured with jam nuts. This also gave us the capability of adjusting chain tension with a wrench. The idea was borrowed from a garage door opener.

The VersaFrame Roller Chain Mount will work I think, thanks for the replies.
