Student on team #121, Islanders, from Middletown High School and NUWC. Hey ChiefDelphi, I was wondering what you used to play the GMA video that you put on the web. I tried to play it with Quicktime, Real, and Windows Media Player. But nothing work. Well this is the stats that I got of quicktime Video: AVI compressed in codec "DIV3" (Never heard of it) Audio: Mp3 Thats very nice compression but most people need a powerful computer and the software to do it. Did anybody was able to play it? |

This is not the same thing as Divx which as an initial competitior to DVD. Divx ;-)'s original origins aren't too clear. At any rate, it's an implementation of an early MPEG-4 standard (some say that it was stolen from Microsoft). Off hand I don't know where you can download the Divx ;-) codec but if you do a search on Google you should be able to find it. You then need to run it in Windows Media Player. It played fine for me then. Matt |
