Anyone play with that AM Thrift Throttle at all?

Hey CD, I've been trying to get this Andy Mark "Thrifty Throttle" operational for our team to test with. From what I've read here using it on a speed controller is pretty straight forward and not too worried about that part. However, our team is looking to test with servos. I've tried externally powering a few servos while using the thrifty throttle, but to no avail. Has anyone gotten this working with servos? If so, how?

Thanks everyone!

From the user manual you linked:
Quote:

NOTE: This unit produces a PWM signal only; it does not supply power to
devices. Devices such as servos, speed controllers etc. need a separate power
supply.
What sort of power supply are you using to power the servos? It should be 5-6 V.

Did you connect the ground of the power supply for the servo to the ground of the Thrift Throttle. The control signal to the servo needs a common reference to the power for the servo. Is your servo power adequate? They can draw a bit of current.

The little note at the bottom of the document you linked to says:

No power on the middle pin to power the servo. There's you problem right there.

Hey, here's what I tried the other week and all I got was some strange jittering from servos.

SuperBK, according to your post, is all I need to do is use configuration 2 on my image and connect ground in there?

Which servo is it? Some servos may require 6V to operate.
