2508's electronics board

This is only half of our electronics board since I am putting the power related stuff on one side of the robot and the signal related stuff on the other side (mostly). While the rules don't require it, the guidance seems to be that the pneumatics control module should be connected to one of the PDP terminals at the end of the board, not one of the WAGO connectors. Also, while I can't make out the breaker size in the image, the PCM must have a 20A breaker or fuse per R37.

I suppose that you realize that the RoboRIO and VRM need power (from the appropriate terminals at the top end of the PDP) and that you still have to connect motor wires.

It certainly has a clean, roomy look; apart from the small breakers' WAGOs, everything has plenty of access room.

We've done two-sided (and even multi-part) control boards in previous years, but we found that having a single board that you can see "all at once" is less prone to wiring errors and much easier to trouble-shoot.

It looks OK, but you should also make sure that the compressor wire is not in contact with the compressor. Wires increase in resistance as they get warmer, so you want to keep it a bit clear of the compressor.

Lots to like here. A couple things for you to consider:

1. I'm not a fan of putting the compressor on the electronics board. The terminals on the speed controllers tend to vibrate loose and that's a big source of vibration.

2. Use some cable tie bases to fasten down your power wires, rather than the tape. Use a cable tie near each speed controller to make a bundle of the two input wires. This makes them move less at the speed controller. The bases are available at Home Depot.

3. Are you planning on putting fans on your Talons?

4. You're using polycarbonate (Lexan) and not acrylic for the board, right?
