Using Encoders with jaguars

I have no prior knowledge to encoders but i have them installed and connected to the Jaguar it self, i have two sim's i would like to sync up for auto. mode. how do i program this.

It's not entirely clear what you're trying to do. Would you mind providing more details? I know that there's some WPI resources out there that I can link you to.
