Feeding station issue?

So our team attended a week zero event here in New Hampshire today and we found a problem that basically made our robot useless. The tote feeding station, because of the angle that it is at, when you send a tote through it the tote just hits the carpet and flips over. Did anyone else encounter the same issue, and/or have a solution to this?

Don't let the totes hit the ground?

Earlier in the build season (even at the official field on Kickoff) it was observed that the totes don't like to land top-up, but rather on their end:

Depending on your design, something like this might be an option.

Flips over into what orientation? I have seen them land flat, and stand on end. Does it land one of these ways?
