Our robot name is Acervus. It means to stack in Latin.

A bit different than our usual themed names, i.e. Knighthawk for the Air Force being a sponsor, Oddjob because we shot Frisbees, or Screaming Knight because it got loud as hell when shooting, but a name nonetheless.

We always name our robots based on greek mythology.

Our prototype robot is always named Tartarus for the grief it gives us. We are on Tartarus 7.

Our competition bot this year is Pricus: the immortal father of all sea-goats.

This year our robot is named A.L.F.I.E. which stands for Articulated Lift For Intense Entertainment.

Ironically, our team voted on "The Pickup Line".

Runner-up (which I personally voted for) was The "SS Gaylord" where "SS" stood for "Sexy Stacker." Gaylord is another name for tote.

Our robots name is BARF. It stands for Bad A** Robot Forklift. We are really bad at coming up with names. :-)

Team 1708 named their robot "Kryponite" and will have a reveal video soon. *hopefully* :)

Is that bad, or ba-ad? Perhaps the first, as I don't see any reason to name a robot after John Candy's character in Spaceballs.;)
