Re: Robot Names 2015
This year we took a very ambitious route and built 2 different robots. On Saturday night we liked the front end of one and the back end of the other and merged them. The result was......FRANKENBUNNY!!!

Re: Robot Names 2015
We name our robots after dragons, so this year, we went with Toothless.

Re: Robot Names 2015
Our practice bot is named "Guillotine" because it could easily become one if the clamps holding up the elevator get loose while electrical team is wiring it :yikes:
The more-refined competition bot is named "Phantom" because of a little thing you might see in our soon-to-be-released reveal video... |

Re: Robot Names 2015
Officially/technically the name is Talon XVI.
But a group of the students have nicknamed our bot Planet Fitness... because "we pick things up and put them down". :yikes: Personally I would opt for Hans and Franz for the same reason (the original from SNL, but they might not be old enough for that reference). |
Re: Robot Names 2015
We haven't officially decided yet, but E15a is my favorite of our choices

Otis.
We're sponsored by UTC Otis Elevator Service Center. And we, like most, have an elevator. Also using Otis from Cars as our model for Imagery. |
Re: Robot Names 2015
An inside joke between those who have showed up to the Pre-Bag Expo Scrimmage dealio has been that we've been over-ambitious in our robot design and that this robot will die from said ambition.
Therefore we have unofficially dubbed our robot "Julius Caesar" |
