Re: Bayou Regional 2015

The cajuns know how to bring Spirit & Dancing to a whole new level. The 2nd Line , parades and group picture was a lot of fun !

We also enjoyed joining forces with Jersey Voltage 4587 & BulahBots 3753 !
We eventually put up 90 points in the quarters but struggled to be consistent. The competition was tough and the finals were wild

In addition, big CONGRATS to:

0. 3937 & 3039 & 3946 alliance on the victory !
1. Chuck Dickerson from 456 Siege Robotics
2. Panthrobotics 3337 on their 1st Chairmans Award
3. Texas Torque 1477 on their 2nd Engineering Inspiration Award.
4. TARDIS 5416 on Rookie All - Star Award

And here's a still from andorob4's video of Semi2 showing the blocker, and the first red noodle.

Bayou was a blast! We learned a lot about how to improve our robot. It was also a plus that we could visit Café Du Monde to get beignets while driving between the hotel and the competition.

It was great to meet some of the other people from CD like James from 179 and Gus from 3946. It was cool to get to see 3310's amazing machine up close. Our eliminations partners, 4587, are to be congratulated for their heroic efforts to get their robot under the weight limit yet remain effective on the field. Speaking of heroic, 3847 deserves great admiration for their skill and courage for basically building a new robot during their access time at two regionals. It was good to see them building the big stacks in eliminations. Congratulations also to 5469, the only rookies to play in eliminations. Your team members showed great spirit, never giving up and constantly improving your robot. You made good use of the "cheesecake" to get multiple RC's off the step for your fantastic alliance.

We look forward to seeing many of you at Lone Star and at the off-season events.

Les Ruthven uploaded videos of all of the DiscoBots matches.

I linked up all of the public Bayou youtube videos to TBA Bayou regional but they have not been synced yet.

Hopefully more people recorded matches , its seems that most of the Bayou matches are not on youtube.

Our media team is working on uploading all the matches with 1912. I think they only caught footage of our half of the field though.

I messaged Allen from Spectrum. They recorded all the matches, they should have them on YouTube eventually.

We missed some, but what we have will get up at some point. We have parts of the awards as well.

Hey Allen - you wouldn't happen to have the Chairman's, Dean's List, and Volunteer of the Year part of the awards would you? ::grins:: Not sure why - but I'd really like those.

I won't know until we pull them from the camera. Everything we have will be uploaded.
