Looks like a very cool robot. Do you have a second robot to practice with?

Thanks!

We've made a practice bot. But this is our first year with a robot almost completely out of sheet metal, and we had some drawing mistakes in cad etc. So some holes didn't align that good, design changed a bit during the build season.

So the practice bot isn't a good compare between the two but because we have some big fairs and demonstrations while our robot will be in America we're trying to make third robot.
We're talking with our sponsors at the moment.

Here is a picture so you can see the changes we've made.

Wow! What an incredible robot! I don't think I've seen any team's mechanism work so smoothly. I can't wait to meet you guys at the Virginia Regional!

One thing that I wasn't sure about in the video: can your robot pick the bins up when they have fallen over and place them on a stack?

we are still working on that, but it's not yet working as smoothly as the rest of the robot :yikes:

This is a fantastic looking robot. I will definitely be stopping by to look at it in Richmond.

The high quality of your design and execution make it hard to believe that this is only your third year in FRC. The attention to detail is amazing! All those 3D printed parts...

What are those "collars" around the end of the small motors for? Protect the motor terminals? Are those ultrasonic sensors installed in the 3D printed mounts on your chassis below the air tanks? What are those for?

Re: Team Rembrandts 2015 Reveal

Hi Philso,
The Collars are used to protect the solder connections on the cables when they are pulled. This way your soldered connections won't break that fast when prototyping.

Ultrasonic sensors are indeed placed below the airtanks, they are used for some extra sensing.
Thanks for your interest!
