Previously: Take all teams in a list sorted by number. Go down the list: 1, 2, 3, 4, repeat. (If you're sneaky, reverse a few.) Sort by assigned numbers 1-4. That's the divisional list, and it was so predictable that CD could guess EASILY what the divisions would be based on the team list.

Then they changed it, and it LOOKS strictly random. Now that first list is sorted by registration order for CMP. It's been that way for a few years. Frank noted it in a blog about a year ago, I think (timewise). The only change is that now there are more divisions.
