Team 3467 2015 Robot: SPITFIRE

After many long weeks of work and snow Team 3467 proudly presents our 2015 creations Otis My Man (practice robot on the left) and SPITFIRE our 2015 competition robot on the right.

SPITFIRE is looking forward to making stacks and capping RCs up high with our friends at the North Shore and UNH district events and beyond. He is capable of placing RCs and totes on any level in multiple orientations.

Brendan,

Another great out of the box robot, AND YOU LOST 8 DAYS TO SNOW. Can't wait to see it late in the season.

Attention all teams:

If you're looking banebots wheels, PM Brendan.... i think he may have some extra :P

This is legit going to go down as one of the best robots of 2015 IMO. That intake is one of the most effective I think I've seen so far.

A cool looking and well eprforming robot. The way you suck up totes looks like magic.
And the any-level stacking and capping could be really useful.
Definitely one of the best robots of the year from the video.

Wow awesome robot! I'm so glad you guys built something pretty different from most of the other robots. We actually have a similar method of pushing totes and cans onto stacks

Can't wait to compete with you guys at Reading in a few days.

Wow excellent robot. All of your team's robots in recent memory have been a pleasure to watch and SPITFIRE is no different. The best thing about this robot in my opinion is the ability to cap a 6 stack or lower relatively effortlessly. Excellent RC manipulation.

Question: Can you intake the RC with the lid inside of the robot?

Yes however its not our preferred method. Our platform will need an iteration to handle RCs optimally in this configuration as well as upside down totes which seem to be on the island of misfit toys with how many teams don't touch them.

This looks to be one of, if not the, most versatile machines this season. Great job to Brendon and the rest of 3467. Spitfire will be one of the few that I will thoroughly enjoy watching this season.

Awesome. I love the versatility of the primary mechanism and the landfill mining capabilities.

Hopefully we will get to compete together at DCMP!

I really like the versatility and simplicity of this robot--my favorite reveal thus far this year. Looking forward to watching it on the webcasts.
