Oh god we are going to either get smashed or carried this year (again). Time to start writing our autonomous to that level. (I mean how hard could it be? ::ouch::)

See you on Thursday :)

I love this bot.

Swiss army bot for sure. I definitely wanted to see a bot that has this many effectors to deal with everything.

I Love it. I hope its easy to maintain :)

I notice that in your autonomous routine you start with the first yellow tote lifted in the air (above where it normally rests and in it's set location) in your robot's "tote pan". I looked through the game manual and Q&A and was not able to find any explicit rules about the auto game pieces (yellow totes and containers) being supported by a robot, only that robots could not be supported by the game pieces (through robots are able to contact the game pieces).
Because it seems as though your 3 tote-3 bin auto requires this tote to be possessed by the robot and off the ground, are you confident that it is allowed by the rules?
I may just be missing a rule or Q&A, but it seems to be a grey area in the rules for auto placement.

By the way, incredible robot! I love how versatile and consistent it is.

It's not a grey area at all. The match doesn't start unless all the totes and containers are in their designated starting positions, per Match Logistics (Section 3.1.4).

Also, G13 prohibits preloading totes into the robot. The described situation is most definitely preloading, and thus the match won't start until the situation is corrected.

well spotted!
this is our second robot, the front "flaps" can open (hinged sideways) and we grab from the floor in the competition robot , and this system is 100%reliable grabbing from the floor

look at the second 23 (you'll see the hinges in the front flaps) :)

Actually, I don't see them at that point, or at any other point in the video--unless you mean the apparent gaps along the support areas are hinges--they don't appear to be used at all. I have to assume that they're used at the start of the auto routine at about 1:10, but because that's not shown, we are assuming that the tote starts on top of the robot, which is what we are concerned about as that is a cause for holding up the match to fix the issue.

Wow, this is just an amazing robot. Could be a solid member, or captain, of any alliance! How many stacks of six can yall produce in a round?

Out of interest, did you remove the middle wheel out of the KoP drive chassis for stability? or otherwise? If so does it help, because we where considering doing the same too, but didn't have time to do so.

It's good that people are talking about these issues - but yes, Jeser is right, we start with the tote on the floor and the spring loaded, hinged flaps fall down into the position shown at 0:23 in the video, as the first tote is lifted into the robot.

Looking forward to seeing everyone down under in a few days!

yes for a better stability and to go over the score platform without any issues (since we are doing it with 3 RCs and 3 totes)
if you want to do the same we can help you in the regional, let me know so i can bring extra parts to do it.

cheers
