Student on team #173, RAGE, from Rockville High School and UTRC.

Due to high plane costs, RAGE will only be sending the robot which we'll control from Connecticut. We're asking for teams to petition first to allow us to place a camera on the bot, and a really powerful radio.

You should've send in the operator side of the control system with the robot, too!!!

This way, with a decend internet connection, you ought to be able to send joystick signals through internet and eventually into the control box if FIRST people are willing to help you out!

Even better, you should've ask FIRST to have the National at Connecticut at the beginning of last year.

Good luck with the really powerful radio.

I sure hope you can find a 1000-mile tether cable somewhere. Expect 1 minute delays between the time you move the joystick and the time it reaches the RC.

We usually work on the robot until the last minute and
beyond. SO if we ever found ourselves in your
situation, there would probably be a couple of students
we accidentally sealed in with the robot that could act
as our drivers.

Do you really think that I'd miss the Nationals, the nice hot florida weather, vacation from school, and all the excitment because of air fare? ;)
