It looks like 330 figured out what's important in this game!

Ah geez. Welp, we may as well give up now.

Looks awesome, can't wait to see this in action later this week.
I'm particularly curious how difficult it is to pick up three RCs that may or may not be in various states of disarray.

Re: pic: 330 placing three cans up high

An auto code that picks up all three would be best. Orientation is guaranteed and also placement. Plus it is time they would not have to spend during telop.

Requires a Canburglar.
My new favorite descriptor.

I'm also curious about the time savings for picking up 3 RCs vs. 1 at a time.

Plus, you start with only 3. Depending on robot capabilities, you might be waiting around an awful lot of the match with those 3 RCs. Or driving around stacking with them. I suppose you could spend some of the time in front of the HP station getting noodled, though.

I like it a lot except I thought only two of those cans would count in that orientation. Is it just like that so your totes wall off the other side for secrecy?

Oh, I'll take that can now. Maybe that one too. And that one.
Awesome mechanism.
If you don't get it in autonomous though, you will be in big trouble. Otherwise you risk getting the bins tipped over, and it doesn't seem like this mechanism would worked for tipped cans. Does this extend to the step? And "can the cans" get noodled while in the organism?

Good luck at competition.

All of those bins count as long as they are not supporting each other's weight.

Thought it was one bin per stack though. BRB rule digging

I noticed Poofs putting two containers on a stack in practice in CVR, and didn't see it again...not sure what's up with the scoring of more than one container per stack. The rule above seems to indicate it's scored by level, so as long as it's supported by gray totes, all the containers count, no matter how many stacks. And I didn't read the other thread that probably discussed this, because I was "busy".

Explanations and rule or Q&A citations welcome...

Rules are clear, it counts.

Also, I love how people nit pick when top teams post designs to make themselves feel better.

"1114 can't pick up upside down totes.... ha! gotcha! they have a flaw!"

"330 will have trouble picking up 3 containers, that's not easy! Those idiots overlooked it"

You're talking about teams that are not only capable all around, but think of things at the system level more than others. They factor in drive practice, skill, mechanisms, automation, etc. etc. to figure out the optimal solution (for their constraints and resources) for the game. What is difficult for you, is possibly far easier for them. They also don't make assumptions (hmmm, let's not try that, it's hard!) and test items to prove they are too difficult/hard before writing them off.

Q. Can more than one recycle bin be scored on the same stack if they are both fully supported by the tote stack?

A. Yes, per Section 3.1.2.3, a RECYCLING CONTAINER is scored if it is fully supported by only scored Gray TOTES.
