FIRST Championship in Snapchat
 

If you have Snapchat im sure you've seen their LIVE section in which they post worldwide importan events like the College Football games, traditional festivities and special dates like the Spring Break this weekend.

Snapchat has more than 100 million users. Imagine if we could get 100 million people all around the world to see what FIRST is about and the amazing fun that we have at Championship.

Right now im trying to figure out how they get to pick the events that show up in the live section, if you have any information about this it would be nice to hear it. So if Snapchat decides that they are putting it live, we would need tons of snaps from everyone at Championship. And this is were we need all the help! We can make it look as spectacular as it is and we would really help grow the FIRST community by MAKING IT LOUD!

What do you think of the idea? I think we can make a lot of noise!

Funny you should post about this! Last week, I sent in a suggestion to Snapchat. We'll have to see if they do anything about it. Maybe if we can get some more people to send in suggestions, it'll help the cause.

This would be really awesome to see in snapchat, definitely a great way to spread the word about FIRST! I bet if a lot of people sent in requests to Snapchat and information about the location ect., they might take our suggestion.

I think submitting a request for being featured in the LIVE section would be possible by sending in feedback through their website feedback form (linked here) . Also, it would be cool if someone created a geofilter for champs. I would think it is more likely for the Snapchat team to realize that the event is going on if a filter was created and submitted. People can submit geofilters they create to the Snapchat team Here.

Just a quick warning about the geofilters, it says here that the work has to be original, so using the FIRST logo will probably be denied. Your team logo should work though.

That being said does someone with artistic talent wanna design a quick sketch of maybe a can on a tote?

You might be able to work with FIRST toward getting the permissions to use the logo for it! Try contacting them through some other social media they have!

Thanks for all your support! I have sent the suggestion and I´m sending an email right now to FIRST so they can help us with this! And thanks to all the teams that are joining the idea! We need all of the FIRST community to get involved!! Please spread the word!

People on the subreddit have been discussing this also and at least two people have already submitted geo filters to snapchat. I think this would be a pretty sweet idea and the more people show involvement, the more likely this is to happen.
