[FTC]: Rolling goal setup position

Hey Chief Delphi,

We are the Charging Champions, a six-member FTC team from SoCal. We had a question regarding set up of the rolling goals. Before the match starts, how does the ref set up the rolling goals? Are they parallel to the walls and how far are they away from the wall?

Thanks,
Charging Champions

Re: [FTC]: Rolling goal setup position

According to the game manual: "Each Rolling Goal is centered in a tile, with the 90cm Rolling Goal in the corner, the 60cm Rolling Goal one tile toward the Alliance’s Ramp/Platform, and the 30cm Rolling Goal one tile from the corner toward the opposing Alliance Parking Zone."

From what I saw, that's exactly how they were set - centered in a tile. They were not set using a measuring device, just centered in a tile.

I believe it was somewhere in the official forum that the orientation of the base pentagon is random - refs do not align them parallel to the wall.

Yep, center of the tile, the pentagon base rotation is random.
