Arduino on Classmate PCs

We have 3 of the classmate computers and I am trying to get them to work with Arduino, so our team can work with middle schoolers on some arduino development. Install seemingly went just fine, and I believe the drivers are just fine but there is a big problem. When I try to click anything in the menu bar, I cannot see the options. In some places it appears the fonts are super-sized. See picture below. Any ideas how to fix this?

We have a similar issue with SmartDashboard and the radio imaging tool. Do those work for you?

Both SmartDashboard and the imaging tool use Java. Maybe it isn't up to date, or another related problem.

Looks like an issue related to screen resolution, but the Arduino tool works fine on our computer.

As a workaround in the meantime, you can probably learn the shortcuts with the Alt key.

the ArduinoIDE, SmartDashboard, and Radio Imaging Tool ALL use Java. So we have a similar theme.

An alternative to the Arduino IDE is to use Sublime-text2, install the package manager and then install the Stino plugin. It integrates the Arduino IDE into Sublime. I also like Sublime much more for programming than the Arduino IDE.
